Kathy Le Sant

is a visual artist who lives and works in Paris. As a makeup artist in the 2000’s, she had the chance to collaborate with exceptional artists such as Peter Beard, Jan Saudeck, William Klein, Debora de Tuberville, David Bailey, Harri Peccinotti, Hans Feurer, Juergen Teller, to name a few. She got to meet and work with some exceptional designers, such as Christian Lacroix and Alexander McQueen, while participating as a makeup artist in some of the most prestigious fashion shows of that time. She travelled extensively around the world as a makeup artist during this time. In 2003, she took a break to focus on her artistic projects of photography and painting. This is also the year that she met the actress, Jeanne Balibar; together they created a new photographic universe that still exists today.
In 2011 she started working again as a makeup artist notably for Purple Magazine and its founder Olivier Zahm. She has collaborated with Olivier on many issues of Purple Magazine and as a result she has had the good fortune to have worked with a whole new generation of photographers and stylists. In 2019, she began her new artistic journey of blending her photographic and makeup artistry. Experimenting with these two mediums that she had already been working with for many years, she started creating colorful close-ups on various canvases such as paper, fabric, vegetation, and skin.
